Chiffon cake has a very light texture as a result of how the egg whites are beaten. Other ingredients like flour (pronounced as flau·uh), egg yolk, salt, oil, caster sugar, fresh milk and yogurt are gently folded into egg whites to maintain aeration in the batter.

Once you have the basics of baking a chiffon cake, at home, you can get creative with different variations. Other popular chiffon cakes include pandan chiffon, chocolate chiffon, orange chiffon, coffee chiffon and the list goes on.
